Camp - Tsavo East
Tarhi Eco
Camp is situated on the seasonal Voi River in Tsavo East National Park.
It is a camp in the true "old style". Each tent has flush toilet and
shower with hot and cold water. Power is supplied by generator and also
solar powered lighting at night. Food, of local and international
origins, is prepared over open braziers.
Kambi ya Tarhi has the
atmosphere of the pioneer camps of long ago while providing the luxury
of a permanent camp with modern amenities. Tarhi is the name that the
indigenous Liangulu people gave the dik dik, miniature antelope that are
often seen near Kambi ya Tarhi, the camp of the dik dik.
The camp is surrounded by Boskia trees and other local vegetation. It
over looks a waterhole where the animals come to drink. Game drives
through the Tsavo East park offer the chance to view the spectacular
scenery and wildlife for which this park is famous.
All tents, the 2 dining areas, 2 campfires and our “ Chui “ (Leopard)
bar are naturally surrounded by Boskia trees and other wild growing
vegetation.
